Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

As I promised last month in another topic, here is an update of what I am making at the moment. Just got the boards manufactured and they look cute (at least to me) :)
I will have more updates, this time with pictures from the working system.
This is not a mmbasic machine and most certainly not a very fast one, but I am looking at this project from a totally different perspective and have different goals ahead (will clarify in my next update), so it is not a competition to the mites or anything else in this niche.

Hi Kon,
Looks nice. You say you've just got the boards 'manufactured'. Do you mean pre-populated (i.e. assembled units) or do you mean just the PCBs unpopulated?
If you mean fully assembled, do you mind me asking who you use!
Do tell more about this little unit . . . . (some kind of logger with the SD card??)

I have made five populated boards so far and I've got a few extra bare ones as well just in case anyone except me got hooked in future. I have made it with relatively large components (0805, etc...) so it can be assembled by hand.
This is not a logger, it is a full small computer, but done my way and running a special OS which I have created for it. It has VGA graphics (8-bit colour), PS/2 for keyboard and mouse, RS-485, also a UEXT20 header which is an expanded version of the Olimex's UEXT. It runs a CPU7 processor, which I have designed recently, and has 4 megs of RAM. The SD is a 'disk' drive.

Will do, soon. I am not very fast with my work, nor rushing to compete with anyone. Once I bring it to some more presentable state, I will make an update again.
Thanks for the interest.http://rittle.org
