Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I just did something a bit dumb but others might do the same thing so I thought I'd mention it and save some potential head-scratching.

I'm using a little dual 3.3 + 5v power supply for the 5v to the MX470 Skinnymite. I was attempting to flash Peter Mather's updated Beta 15 but was getting a "protected" error message back from the PiCkit3. I hadn't had any problem when I first flashed it with Beta 14. I finally realised I had connected the 3.3v from the dual supply to Vcc (pin 2) of the PiCkit3 instead of from the 3.3v 'Out' pin on the Skinnymite. I just assumed that's what I'd done when I first programmed the Beta 14 in, but I must have been more awake!

In my defence I've been doing all my 170 fiddling (28 pin) on a breadboard and I use the 3.3 and the 5v from the dual supply there - and for the PiCkit when I re-program. I can see why it happened but still, not clever - don't get caught like me!

There is always something there to throw you with this stuff!

Well done on tracking it down, and I admire you honesty.
