My first tech job was with Radio Shack and got a certificate for TRS-80 Models I/II/III and Color Computer repair. A few years ago I was visiting the Smithsonian and saw TRS-80 Model I on display and did that ever make me feel old!

I remember how long it took me to make enough money to upgrade from 4k to 16k Dram. Bought the chipset for a few hundred bucks and bent one pin on one chip. Took forever to figure that one out but eventually it worked. Man was I a bad ass. 16K of ram!!!! Those were truly the days!!!! BTW I am XX years old.

Trivia.... The roman numeral system didn't have a 0 ( zero ). That came centuries later from the middle east.

S is a half in roman.

You need to have a chat to him.

Two days ago I bid on a TRS-80 Model 4 for £10.50 - it eventually went up to £150 in the last couple of minutes!

Without stealing this thread - I am after a Sinclair ZX80 in mint condition - does anyone out there have one?
I know I can bid/buy on eBay but the prices are a bit too high for me on there

Grogs, Paul

Thanks for your posts but I already have many ZX81s. As stated in my post, it is the specifically the ZX80 model I am after.
I also want to find my Jupiter Ace (a Forth computer). On eBay they sell for between £500 and £900 ( I only paid £20 for mine).

So ZX80s please if anyone has one for sale.
