Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Evening all,

I recently had an idea. I was considering, it would be easier if there was a way of drawing images on the maximite system instead of having to import them, and since I use mine with a CRT monitor, if a light pen is feasible or if it's already been attempted. I only have a basic idea of the concept, but as far as I can tell when the trigger is pulled, the photo sensor waits to pick up the pixel scanning across and the computer reports which position its in. Would this be entirely possible within the BASIC interpreter?

Hi Alligator,

There was a thread a while ago where someone was doing something similar

See This Link

It isnt a light pen but uses LDRs and flashing blocks.. I don't know if it will help do what you want it to do though.

Regards,

Mick
