Hi geoff I know the instruction "cpu restart". Now I need, if possible a parameter for example 1 that when execute "cpu restart 1" does see the initial string "Micromite ....Geoff" etc. Do You think...is it possible this features? Thanks |

I Geoff As it now it's correct. I think that might be useful add a parameter. If present ...cpu restart 1... will show initial strings "Micromite ....etc" Thanks |

on 4.7 beta 23 i see the following behaviour: (apply power to micromite) > Micromite MKII MMBasic Ver 4.7 Beta 23 Copyright 2011-2015 Geoff Graham > watchdog 10 > Watchdog timeout Processor restarted > cpu restart > so watchdog 10 produces a short 4-line message (blank line, 2 lines of message, blank line), while cpu restart produces no console output. i have it in my mind that in beta 8 cpu restart used to produce a message, but am not 100% sure of this. if a parameter were to be added, the logical action would be to behave much as watchdog does, but with the first line of the message reading "CPU restart". it would be nice if there was also some parameter value (or other method) whereby from the console the normal power-on startup message could be elicited (way back this could be achieved with watchdog 1). how about: cpu restart ----> restart with no console message cpu restart 0 --> restart with 'CPU restart' message cpu restart 1 --> restart with power-on message cheers, rob :-) |

It would also be interesting to have at the reset ... for example the type of PIC32 ...170/470 etc. I need this feature for my software. That I will make public soon. Thanks Geoff ![]() |
