Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Can a mmbasic program re-purpose the console RX and TX pins as I/0 pins. For instance, can I send my program using mmedit to the uMite with option autorun on, disconnect the console cables and attach whatever my i/o hardware is to those pins, repower the uMite and have it use those pins? Or even just send mmbasic with my program to the uMite using PicKit3 and hex file?

Thanks!Edited by viscomjim 2015-07-23

You can do this only on the Micromite Plus and only after you have used OPTION CONSOLE OFF.
