Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Geoff
I have a doubt on LOAD command on new firmware 4.7.
I have a program in RUN... then I call LOAD a file and I can run the new program ..correct?
But If I do pieces of code and save code as library in SD, can I recall/load from my SD and integrate or merge this code? So re-RUN my original code but with the new merged.
Thanks

Not that I am aware of.

LOAD command will erase the current program in memory, in favour of the new file you are loading. Not sure that merging in memory would be easy to do either. Even the Maximite series of computers cleared the program memory if you were LOADing or CHAINing programs.

An interesting idea - I will be watching this thread.

Hi Grogster...
Thanks ...Good idea ..
For example in OPTION Geoff can include LIBRARY.
So I can load my.BAS and load and append the current CODE with the library.BAS that found in uSD. For example I can save in uSD pieces of code saved by RUN program ...I will be able to save status code and reload after a power off/on.

A Maximite will do just that. A MicroMite does not i believe.

Yes, at this time you cannot merge a file from the SD card.

I expect that there will be more an more requests for this sort of functionality as people start using the MM+ as a computer rather than a controller. At some point I may have to come up with two versions of the firmware (one optimised for use as a computer and the other as a controller).
