Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Can a CFunction create a VT100 emulation?

We are trying to figure out how to create
a "Tera Term" like program on our MM+ Explore 64
Embedded Basic Laptop. Then we would use this
VT100 terminal to serially communicate with other
MicroMites. Just think - no windows 10 problems,
no reset problems, no serial driver problems,
no PC and above all no network connection.

Correct, it has been done for the ASCII video terminal board.(PIC32MX250)
Is there a CFunction VT100 emulation for the SSD1963 7" TFT display, MM+ Explore 64 with keyboard and console serial port?

You would not need a CFunction, it would be easier to write it in BASIC.

Well beyond our programming capabilities.

We were hoping to use our Embedded Basic Laptop not only as a VT100 terminal but as a firmware programming terminal which will "cut the cord" and not use a PC altogether except for firmware hex file access. More research on-going ...
