Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Some of the early Maximites were populated with the 32MX695F512H-801/PT and the later ones were 32MX795F512H-801/PT. I have a schematic which shows both possible.

IIRC the 695's lacked the CAN network capability.

So you're saying you entered what?

I can't currently see what you entered but so far I don't see a real error with the device.

(I also can't see quite where the 0x41000 or 0x7000 would be from as neither matches the internal PIC32 ID code.)

Thanks John
The ref on the device is pic 32MX795F512L-80I/PF
On the schematic it is pic 32MX795F512L-801/PT
I entered 32MX795F512L
I contacted the Pickit3 supplier and they are sending a replacement so I suppose they must think there is something wrong with it .
I tried the pickit3 on a black and white MM and it read the chip details and programmed it ok . I will have another go at it if and when I receive the replacement
regards Jeff
