Hi Grogster and Members,

it seems to me that Geoff will finish his MM+ 100 PIN Version soon.

When will the Board be available?
Will it be preconfigured with a 100 pin PIC?
Will it be possible to solder it ourselfes?
What to do, to be one of the first Owners of a MM+ 100?

Greetings,

I figured that by the time you buy a PCB and all the components and then have to assemble, it is a lot easier and probably almost as cheap to buy The SnadPIC
here . I have two of them, if you buy one make sure you mention Micromite.

For the moment the best development/test platform for the 100-pin chip is the SnadPIC as Paul mentioned.

I am just finishing a series of magazine articles on the standard (28-pin) Micromite and I hope to get back to the MM+ in a week on two. My focus will be on taking the firmware out of beta and writing an article about it using Grog's Explore64.

Geoff - I designed the board for you with your consent, but it's YOUR Explore64.

As to the 100, yes, for the same reasons mentioned above, I have not bothered to do a 100 nor will I be doing one at this stage. The SandPic board with the mention of the Micromite to the supplier(for the 20MHz crystal) is the cheapest option - hard to beat the price of that board!

Hello,

i have two Snadpics for Development and Testing.
But i prefer a smaller Form- Factor for some Projects where size
matters.

I cannot believe that a board like the Explorer 64 for the 100 Pin Version is more expansive
than a complete Snadpic?!

@ Geoff,

i really would like to read your articles about the micromite, but here in
Germany, they are really hard to find/buy.

Well, I am not saying that I WON'T do a 100 pin version, but for right now, the SandPIC is the best bet. I'll email Geoff and we'll talk about it, but at the end of the day, it is Geoff's call if/when he wants one done.

I'd be up for the challenge if he wanted one.
