After a cheap serial to USB do-hicky? Ordering stuff from Element 14? Get a one (or a few!) of these: Cypress for $4.68 each (currently) Snap off the serial<->USP part and download the drivers from here: Serial Driver Scroll down to "USB-Serial Windows Driver Installer" (or whatever OS you use) and you're away! Only works economically if you're ordering anyway from Elemnt 14 due to shipping, fast too, overnight. Currently running my Micromite quite nicely. For crying out loud, all I wanted to do was flash this blasted LED. |

That is quite interesting Something cheap finally from e14.. ![]() Is it 5v or 3v3 ? Even my MuP-TTL kit is dearer than that (although it does use a genuine FTDI chip) Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

Nice find! ![]() I order from E14 often, so I will have to get a couple of these next time. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Just checked with the CRO, the board is 5V supply and signals, no 3.3V available as far as I can see. For crying out loud, all I wanted to do was flash this blasted LED. |

I just received 5 of 'em. I think they are great for that price. ![]() The only problem I find is getting into the packaging. ![]() Mike |
