Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

A little off topic but has anyone fitted load resistors to the can bus for led trailer lights.
If so what value resistors where used, the 50watt 6 ohm resistors seen on the web seem a bit over the top.
Thanks.

This works, but what sort of load does the can bus system really require to make it work.
Pulling 30 plus watts for taillights and flashers appears to defeat the purpose of the led lights other than their reliability.
Heating a resistor just to trigger a system appears to be a bit odd.

Delete the gap in resist ors ? then it works.
