I recently put together a device that logs GPS data while attached to a drone. The device uses a CGMICROKIT board from Circuit Gizmos, a GPS receiver from Parallax and an Openlog from Sparkfun. And of course, MMBasic version 5.1 .

Here's a picture of the device attached to my DJI Flamewheel F550 hexacopter.




Here's a "stand-alone" picture of the device.




Everything was powered from the LiPo battery used by the drone.

Here are a few plots of the data captured during a brief checkout flight.
