Hi folks. @ Geoff - The standard VAR SAVE command(s) allows for 2K of memory to save variables, which is fine in the 170 MM, but is there any chance that a little more memory could be assigned to this command in the MM+? It has lots more memory. Even 3K would be better then 2K for the MM+ series of chips, but any increase would be useful - even more then 3K if you wanted. This has only really come to the fore, as there was the recent(and very useful) change to allow use of multiple VAR SAVE commands to be able to save as many variables as you like. There are external memory chips, but dealing with it all with VAR SAVE and VAR RESTORE is extremely elegant. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

I think its 2k now for both but double or even 4 times for the MM+ would be useful and great with me. Lou Microcontrollers - the other white meat |

Micromite Manual page 71 under "VAR". Notes: The storage space available to this command is 2KB or 4KB on the Micromite Plus. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Dear God, how the hell did I miss that...... Sorry. ...just a tick.... I must have an old version of the manual, cos under VAR, there is no mention at all of the MM+ having 4K. The manual I am using is 4.7B - I will look for an updated manual from Geoff's site. EDIT: OK, all up and running on the latest 5.1 manuals from Geoff's site. Earlier this month, I rebuilt my main PC, and restored everything from a backup NAS drive, but the manuals were obviously the old ones. They are saved directly on the desktop. I have added '5p1' to the name now, so I can see at a glance if they are current or not. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
