Hi Geoff To make the Boat Computer useful on land, is it possible to show Eastings and Northings (Grid Co-ordinates) as as alternative to Lats and Longs? |

This question was answered in the other Boat Computer post. - Sorry No. I know of over 100 map datums and 14 Grid standards used around the world. The maths for converting between them can get rather involved. It would be an interesting exercise but too much to fit into the boat computer code. Australian maps generally use Australian Geodetic 1966 and Australian Geodetic 1984 Some use Australian Geocentric 1994 (GDA94) I am not sure about other countries. Jim VK7JH MMedit MMBasic Help |
