Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

"MMBasic Ver 5.1 Beta 3"

ummm, shouldn't you be using the release (non-beta) version of 5.1? or the 5.2 beta?

cheers,
rob :-)

Excrement, that's a point.
Latest I have here is 5.2 B2 for the MM+.

It would not hurt to flash the new one in, so I will do that and see if that cures the problem.

EDIT: Nope.

Do you have an option lcdpanel set? You can't use spi2 from Basic if you have - see advanced features manual page 11. My Cfunctions use it through the backdoor. See the other thread for three working variants

Configuring the touch or the SD card will also make SPI2 unavailable.

geoff: would it be possible to change the error messages to something like "Error: SPI2 unavailable"? and similar error messages could be used for attempts to use or configure other pins that have been reserved by the MMbasic interpreter.

cheers,
rob :-)
