Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I have just found that in BBCBasic
( even though the manual gives the standard
baud rates ( as does the MMBasic manual ))
I can write :

port% = OPENUP("COM1: 31250,N,8,1")

and instruct a Midi device.
I had always thought deviating from the
given rates would error some way.
Will the Maximite do the same ?
If so I could put the Midi device in
the 'Sea of Holes' and have a slick unit :)

The Duinomite can on com3 and com4
I think the Maximite is restricted to the standard rates.
The micromites can use the SerialTx Cfunction which will do any baud rate up to a max limit.

Thank You Jim,
Yea, I remember the DuinoMite doing it now.
It might be better, since I could change 'shields'
(and synths) at whim.
I had one once but trashed it when the SD card holder
broke ..............
