Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I am experiencing a problem communicating to the computer from VT100 (250 IC)with MM edit. Teraterm works ok .
I have swapped cables, ports and computer to no avail.
Desktop is running XP and the laptop is WIN10
MMedit works ok on U mite 170

MM edit seems to recognise the same port as teraterm when I do a "find port" but comes up with an error saying that it can't find the port when I try to load programme
Yr help would be appreciated
jeff

It is a known problem with the VT100 terminal (and some other similar devices)
I don't have a fix so you will have to stick with TeraTerm until the VT100 firmware is updated.

Sorry

Hi jeffj;

You may find that MMEDIT has taken control of the comm port.

My solution is to disconnect MMEDIT's terminal program.
Then connect Teraterm. Now Teraterm has control of the port.

That is interesting,

Sorry Jim, I sent you a PM.. Chose to ignore it if you wish.

It must have something to do with the `vt-100' formatting strings the Ascii terminal sends, I guess. ??

Kind Regards,

Mick
