This just brings the 5.2b5 code up to Geoff's latest 5.3 beta release.

I've done very limited testing (e.g. ILI9341 + touch) but most of Geoff's code changes are MMBasic internals and application changes which are not chip specific so hopefully not too much to go wrong.

I know, WW you are up and running with the MZ so would appreciate your feedback - anyone else?

Hi Pierre,

Do let us know how it goes once Peter has got the HEX to you.

If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take from the time you ordered the snadPic to it arriving? Thanks.

WW

With the 'underlying SSD1963 performance issue solved', what will we notice (if anything)? For example, will all/some graphical commands be visually quicker?

Just it will work like it should have in the first place. You probably noticed some flicker on the display - that has gone now. A trivial timing issue with the faster chip.

UPDATE

I can also now confirm the MZ can be programmed using PIC32PROG with the PIC16F1454 and presumably the Arduino and PicKit2Edited by matherp 2016-11-26

Is it the one with the 5.5/2.1mm barrel jack? If so I think it's 7-12V DC

I power my SnadPic with 12V and led light

I have programmed it with MPLABIPE v3.45 with the HEX for 24 MHz
no problem to load the file

does it exist à "pin map" for the SnadPic 100 pins ?

I dont know how to connect the console (tx and rx) to try my board

Pierre.

f1fco said  I dont know how to connect the console (tx and rx) to try my board

On the 64pin MZ, the Console Rx was pin 6 which is RG8. Likewise, Tx was pin 56 = RF0.

On that basis (and while waiting for Peter to confirm otherwise) I would simply try (on the 100pinner MZ) Pin 12 as Rx (RG8) and Pin 85 as Tx (RF0)

Do let us know if this works . . .

Correct - but remember the USB should work as a console as well

Good progress there!

Do you have a TFT you can connect up? Ideally a SSD...
