Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I really Love the gauges onPhil's page here
They are available on Github Here

Is there any way of converting these to MMBasic?
Or could anyone be able to make any kind of gauge that looks kinda similar, it doesn't have to have such a fancy bevelled surround to the gauge

Anyone know if this is possible?
or anyone willing to have a go and see if they can get anything similar working?

I did have a go at trying to make something similar with the info in this thread but I was unable to get it working, or even look goodEdited by lew247 2017-01-07

Asked the same question when I first upgraded my weather site.

Those gauges are hugely configurable, (have not tried), and there's also a variety of different types as demonstrated here.

Developing a porting to basic is way beyond my capabilities.

wow that is really amazing
The vertical bargraph on the right hand side is exactly how I'd like the temperatures to show.
it's a shame it's not possible to convert to MMBasic

I have a new beta for the MM+ almost ready to post and it includes a BLIT command written by Peter Mather. This will enable you to load an image of a gauge (like the ones in the above demo) and then draw your own pointers over the image (like this demo https://youtu.be/NSOKTJQubxc).

Not quite as easy to program as the standard GUI controls on the MM+ but it should look impressive.

I hope to have the new beta out in a few days.

That sounds ideal Geoff
I'll definitely be giving it a try and in the meantime looking up what "BLIT" means

Bit Block Transfer... Sweet.! This will help a lot with moving displays and should help make some awesome new on screen controls possible in the GUI... Can't wait...
