When trying to launch MMedit I get an error from Smalltalk/V saying "unable to allocate virtual address space". This has never happened before and this is the only program that won't open. I'm using Win10. Paul. "It is better to be ignorant and ask a stupid question than to be plain Stupid and not ask at all" |

Vaguely recall a similar experience. Found it here. Phil. PS, it was on Win7 Pro. |

Short answer Reinstall and this time choose the option "Memory bug fix (only select if needed)" Longer answer. There is a bug in the latest version of Liberty Basic which appears 'occasionally' To cater for the times that this occurs, I include the option to use an earlier version of the Liberty Basic runtime. The bug has been there for 12 months with no sign of it being fixed. I prefer to use the newer version because it improves the performance of MMEdit, especially the Chat window. Jim VK7JH MMedit |
