Hackaday are doing a series of articles on using I2C devices here. They've also referenced a TI Application Note that shows how to properly calculate the pullup needed. Useful stuff. Greg |

Very interesting. Can anyone throw up some "bucket figures" on what's "Long" cable runs & when issue are expected? Here I typically have a mix of phone, security & shielded data cable. Lengths can range from under 2m, up to around 10m. Some very loose recommendations on lengths & cable types would be valuable for the less electronically inclined. (Personally I wouldn't have a clue about the capacitance of my cables & their expected reliability). Thanks Phil |
