I'm using the Micromite and attempting to use both a "microphone" sensor to detect sounds. Nothing specific, but I'd like to trigger an LED if any sound is detected. Also I've acquired a programmable RGB strip.

Is there any code examples I could read over for either of these?

Thanks

If it is one of these sensors:

There is a digital output on the sensor. This is a threshold output that is adjustable by the potentiometer on that board. That would be usable as an input to the Micromite.

hi eightbitswide,

interesting idea, I had this too, but did not do it, but you can see my code for the LED star .. that would be similar and also usable with a few changes or you can learn from

first i would use an ADC input channel with a potentiometer ( adjustable resistor ) to test it

You might sample the speaker signal (use an analog input), perhaps every 200mS, and look at the level of the signal over a specific threshold.

You could even use another analog input and a potentiometer to make an adjustable threshold level.
