Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all

Can anyone explain why when I try and transfer a file (Gate.txx) to the PC desktop the filename comes up as MicroMite.bas
If I change the filename and save the new file contains the .bas program not the 72 bytes of Gate.txx are transferred.

Have you set the syntax on MMEDIT to "Micromite_Plus_V5.3"? Click on the field after help in the menu bar to open the dialog

Just tried it on a MM+ and it works fine for me using the blue transfer icon with the red flash. The way it works is that MMEDIT executes an XMODEM file transfer to move the file.

Note this is a new facility in a recent MM+ firmware release. Are you up-to-date?Edited by matherp 2017-11-10

Hi matherp
My MM+ firmware version is 5.0405 and I believe this is up to date.
I have noticed that your MM Edit has V5.3 whereas my version stops at V5.2.
I guess I need to get an updated MM Edit.
Thankyou to you matherp for this quick reply.

I must acknowledge the work of so many of you regulars that do such a great job on this forum.

Regards

Hi matherp

Got the latest version of Tassyjim's MM Edit and has fixed the problem.

Thanks again
