Hello,

I have read the website that you have made on smart drive generators for the windmill and it was very detailed information and was an interesting read. However there is one thing missing, I couldn't find any blue print for circuit to connect the generator to battery pack or directly to the household power grid.

I managed to get a smart drive myself. However it is cogged and I will need to get a newer version of permanent magnet hub and do some work on the stator to decog it. Is the 7 phase conversion best for the low wind speed?

I am going to make a small portable wind generator for camping/outdoor use. So can anyone help me how to design a circuit for this project?

thanks

There has been several discussions on portable camping generators in the past and the answer ends up being it is not that practical to do.
When you consider all the important factors like a sturdy tower to mount it on, Generator noise, access to good wind, and transporting the whole kit around.
The result is often it would be more practical to buy a solar panel.

But dont let this stop you from building a wind generator.

Pete.
Sometimes it just works
