If I want to build my wind turbine like Energy Ball. can These kinds of blades be homemade or the purchase form the local handware stores? I have never found it jet. If you are intent to reduce your power bills, why not pay wind power cost? |

Why do you want to build that particular design? I imagine you would have to custom build every part. Perry |

not likely, you cant buy anything from hardware stores in the way of finished blades. Energy ball looks great I agree but those blades liik thin and rotational speed is going to throw them out so when running I imagine it looks like a pulsating energy ball. Would be horrific for fatigue if you ask me, only suitable material would be fiberglass or carbon fibre, as for the profiles they could be simple or very complex. If they are simple it probably wont work very well and designing and manufacturing complex blade shapes like that would be a nightmare (my opinion) My guess is whoever invented it, if it runs at the betz limit (which I highly doubt) then fantastic, if not and its only 20% efficient, then it probably makes an attractive ornament. Luck favours the well prepared |
