Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

In effect, I am proposing you use two fans - one to get going, the other to reach top speed.

Just combine the two into one.

Playing with such small amounts of force, it is difficult to analyse their effects - other than the volts generated.

A saying down here "Sooner or later, you are going to need a bigger hammer" can be rephrased as "you might need a more expensive multi-meter"?

I'll get back in my box now!Edited by neil0mac 2010-03-01

A little update for all those that have been involved with this thread or watching the progress.

Gaby has not fallen asleep or given up on the blade designing but has been working off forum on a diffetent design and receiving some good results.

As this is a state challenge she is entering in, it was thought best not to make her work public for others to copy, that are to lazy to put the time into development.

I am sure she will post her results after the challenge is over.

Her dedication and work she has put in to this project is a true credit to her, and i wish her all the best in the challenge.

Pete.
