Hi Jamiec

12 volts, 50 watts... Not very much, About 4 Amps
You could charge batteries, but it would take a quite a lot of time.

I can't make the link work.

Might make a Good learning turbine. If cheap enough.

Hi all

It would be handy to take camping if near the beach as there is wind there most times, the price is a bit much though.
Makes you think of a set of blades on a F& P probably get double the output for half the price.

All the best

Gizmo had a link somewhere on the home page showing his using a stepper motor with a small savonius or something similar. I'd look into building something like that before I plopped down that amount of $! At least you would be starting with something that has been measured, whereas this thing on ebay may turn out to be a hoax.

I'll try and find the link and come back here and edit it into place for you.

Edit: Okay, I think this is it. Glen, correct me if I'm wrong.

LINK It's the picture in the lower-right-hand side of the page. There used to be an article about it on here somewhere!
