This is my second F&p windmill. I havent got it up the tower yet (still waiting on some pipe to make it) but it is looking good so far. It is the standard 7X2c rewire.

I followed the plans described on this site. The only thing i did different was mounting the blades. I got a disc laser cut with the spline so i don't have to weld the blades to the shaft and the whole assembly is able to be removed with one nut. the blades are made from the markers of the side of the road (didn't have any large pipe and they where handy so i used them). They work surprisingly well and they are very strong having been flung across the paddock when the disc they where attached to shattered (it was only 10mm ply) and then surviving the whole top of my previous mill coming off and landing on the ground.

If it doesn't work hit it with a bigger hammer.
If it still doesn't work you probably shouldn't of hit it.

I can just see it now!

The one eyed council cows going missing from the road sides for a larger cause.

I credit you on your blade idea. ( not sure if the council will )

I like the way you say they were handy, (as though they were planted for your cause)

At least you can have red eyes one side and white the other.

Nice build and a good use of resources.

mean what do u do with the power... iv bult one and am useing a switch mode power supply to regulate the voltage

prove all thing hold fast to that which is true

Nothing yet. the tower is taking longer than expected to get tube for but when its finished ill feed the power into a battery bank and then i am planing to run garden lights off it. i may eventually use it to power more but thats all i have planed so far.

If it doesn't work hit it with a bigger hammer.

cool youll have to regulat it
I started a new forim on regulating voltage

.... i was using mine to make hydrogen but it self distructed and and now im bulding a pelton weel

prove all thing hold fast to that which is true

You don't need to regulate the voltage just rectify it. If you mean a charge controller they yes i am working on that while i wait for the pipe for the tower.

If it doesn't work hit it with a bigger hammer.
If it still doesn't work you probably shouldn't of hit it.
