Hi Shawn, You could try dumping through the inverter by plugging in a few heaters and drawing a heavy load through the inverter to drop the battery down some so the mill is staying connected to the battery longer. It should also help to soak up some of those high power outputs you are getting. It was only a few weeks back you complained of no wind now you complain of to much, some poeple are never happy

mmm more trees down, local power out, mill spiking to 40 amps @ 26 volts holding volts down with vacume cleaner 1800 watts but have to go to bed sometime dump load dead 
furling well. the wind is like this here none ,then to much. tower good but thing could be down the dead sheap hole and it would still spin. |

Look at the bright side ........at least the house will be spotless after 24 hours of vacuum cleaning, for when the wife gets back. If you get a lull in the wind you might want to think about throwing a rope over the mill and pulling it out of the wind and tieing it off. I know Gizmo has done this several times. I am a fan for pullout systems on windmills simular to what water mills have to disengauge them from the wind. It was something i added to the mills i built so they could be furled out of the wind in extream cases. Although not much help here at present. Wish you luck. Pete. Sometimes it just works |

you're telling us you're getting 1000Whr+ out of two stators GEEZ nice one best Ive managed is a little over 12 into 55V. makes me think I've got a problem with mine.... Luck favours the well prepared |

I think you mean 1000W, not 1000Whr. 1000W is how much power his windmill was making at the moment he looked at the meters ( 26 volts time 40 amps = 1040 watts ). He would have to be making 1000 watts for an entire hour to call it 1000Whr. But yeah, its pretty impressive power. Sometimes you get a windmill that just performs exceptionally well in certain conditions, every little variable and tweek comes together. No karl I think i got things wrong? yes im getting great power in huge winds but how often does this happen. no point bragging for one day then having low power for the rest of the year. to work this out of course im going to have to log power/ windspeed etc... Dont even have windspeed meter! wind has died down (thankgoodness)suposed to do it again tomorrow. did not get around to rebalancing blades that tail got a hammering today! goodnight all. |
