Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

seems to be a whole lot of silliness here. firstly, it is NOT PRACTICAL to have more than THREE coils in a phase, in pma. f&p stators are multi-pole 3-phase MOTOR stators, with a Corresponding ROTOR config. in the case of a 36 pole stator, there are TWELVE coils per phase; with a rotor to go with it. in other words, an f&p motor is a WHOLE LOT of work to convert. if one wants a good pma, just BUY ONE. on ebay/amazon. look for permanent magnet alternator.
