Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

well getting a smart drive for under 20$ seems to be out the window and making my own alternator has been put on hold too, so while these 1 metre blades i made from pvc pipe were just sitting around i decided i would attach them to something and see if they work.
well they do :D they arent the best and each blade weighs a different amount and its just been tech screwed on to a wheel hub but it still spins!
at ground level im getting about 50-60 rpm so up high i should get about 120 rpm (hopefully) and if i balance out the blades and stuff it should maybe put it up to 150 and make it start easier.
im not who suggested using a minimill to power some rechargable AA batteries for giving the larger mill a push to get past cogging but it was a good idea and ill use it if i can find a way to do so.
my minimill is in this image on the right, i was using its wind vein so i could put the 1metre blades in the right direction.
the 1metre blades r just attached to a wheel hub and vicegrips and its me holding it up in the air, gets heavy after a short while.
