Hello
Our company is doing a project for a customer that need a windmill style blade.

We need about a 13 foot dia. blade assembly.

Where is a cost effective place to by these ?

We do not have the time to manufacture it.

Also the wind speed of our customer is quite high,
55mph

Should we be looking at a certian type of blade angle or surface area ?

thanks for any input.

Hi Mark.

Need a bit more info. What is the windmill powering? Will you need a low speed high torque turbine, to pump water, or a high speed turbine for power generation.

55MPH is very fast. Is that a constant speed or peak.

Please research ROHACELL as a possible material for making strong \ light weight blades which can take extreme temperatures.

ROHACELL has the ability to be formed and bonded to many common materials.

More details can be found at www.Clarasonic.com
Clarasonic - Distributor of Rohacell a light weigth \ dense cell composite PMI foam which could be used for windmill blades.
