zip- if you don't want to glue magnets and wind coils, or scrap together an old washing machine you're best off looking for 3 phase ac PM motors. pacific scientific and fanuc and others make em. look for high volts and low rpm. high amps too! so a say 1200 rpm 150 volt 12 amp would be a great start to build a mill to get your electrical legs on. these would obviously go to three rectifiears. if you find one in a shop, short two or all three wires together. the shaft should be hard to turn now. good luck! read more and have more educated questions, and the much more brilliant memebers than i of this forum will have better answers for you! birdhouse i pee more than once before flushing, and don't have to flush at all up at the ranch! |
