Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

it seems the latest of latest f&p stators are using aluminium wire.
Up side to this is they now have a hub with 20% bigger magnets, could be good for the 7phase blokes.
Speaking of which, as I couldnt be bothered doing the $$ neo conversion, how do the cap values change for the 7phase and am I right in saying a 7phase 60S would make 48V?
I like talking about the out there stuff as it gets people thinking!Luck favours the well prepared

I hope you are really really good at soldering to tackle the aluminium wire.
I did come across an aluminium soldering paste recently, but have not used it or purchased any.
I had heard from another 4m that guys use it to repair lipo battery packs in RC cars.
It could be of interest for these stators.
Pete.Sometimes it just works

Sorry I worded that poorly
its a 36pole stator same as the last one except aluminium wire, hence hub could be used with copper wire 36 pole stator for the 20% more grunt or with the 7phase conversion on the 42 pole stator for 20% more gruntLuck favours the well prepared
