Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Oi.....
thats a tough one, myself i'd cheat and send it to trev to make one with aluminium.
use a dirty flame with the oxy on the otherwise clean shaft and make a casting.
alternatives are many, steel disc with spline perhaps
can use several pieces of plate and drill holes so the inner portion drops over the splines.....
not unlike the f&p shaft where it all looks so easy until you actually try and do it.Luck favours the well prepared

Do you have a closer photo of the shaft/spline so we can see what you are dealing with.

Do you know who the maker of this generator is.
Do you have the blades that belong to the generator.
Stripping it back to repaint it seems a lot of work for something that will be so high in the air the paint work wont matter, as it will look the same with new or old paint.
