hi i like to know weare i can buy the weel for my windcharger the part to hold the propeler or post a picture so i can make a copy i have a metal lathe. this photo with the weel and the other with no weel i need more photos. help please..

Oi.....
thats a tough one, myself i'd cheat and send it to trev to make one with aluminium.

use a dirty flame with the oxy on the otherwise clean shaft and make a casting.

alternatives are many, steel disc with spline perhaps
can use several pieces of plate and drill holes so the inner portion drops over the splines.....

not unlike the f&p shaft where it all looks so easy until you actually try and do it.

Do you have a closer photo of the shaft/spline so we can see what you are dealing with.

hi Karlj i am good to make copy's. the lathe i have is 8 feet long and the biger weel you can put on the lathe is 16 inch. so i have a steel weel 4" by 8" inch round this the will be perfect.all i need a close up photo so i can see how is made .same like this one

Do you know who the maker of this generator is.

Do you have the blades that belong to the generator.

Stripping it back to repaint it seems a lot of work for something that will be so high in the air the paint work wont matter, as it will look the same with new or old paint.

go to windcharger.com this is the place have photos this is a 110 volts i spun by hand read 56 volts yes i have all the parts exept the weel.

Have you sent an email to windcharger as there looks to be others there that has restored this model before and might be of more help with hands on experience.

The only email link i could find at windcharger was ...
