Hi to all,
I have wandered in and a a little over time. But now I have managed to obatin a couple of F&P stators I'd like to ask for some advise.

I have two 42 coils units with "Messy wiring". One has the white plastic block still attached and seems to run ok.

I head out camping and was hoping to have this as an additional charging method when the sun is not charging the 12 volt batteries. 2x80 AHr. I'm running a larish fridge that draws around 1- 2 amps and up to 5 at kick in. At present I do not get a long weekend out of a single battery, so more then a couple of small solar panels are needed.

What configuration is best for a small portable unit and what blade set up would you suggest?
I hope to try get this right first time using one stator.

PS: Fridge does say it will run on 12-24volts.

Great forum BTW.

CHRIS220*2;
See post by KARLJ in F&P motors Output, Posted below yours in Windmills. This will give you some perimeters to base a plan of pursuit. a common tendency is to compact the turbine.
Read Gismo's post on Swept area.

Time has proven that I am blind to the Obvious, some of the above may be True?

Thanks for that.
Output wise I guess to charge 12v batteries you need around 16 volts.

Being a portable set up i thought some sort of low wind option and only need 5-10 amps max. Is that best with a star config and 24v to allow for low spin rate ?

Sorry for all thequestions.
I figure if I'm going to mount this on the camper trailer when away I better keep it small and efficient.

I'll check out swept area next. Thanks again
