hi guys, i have been working on a very special VAWT with Airfoil blades. with my calculations, it will spin up to 800rpm in 35kmh and it should produce 500watt.
I am looking for a PMA or Axial Flux Gen that will start producing power at 200rpm "EX:10watt at 250rpm" there are many out there, but i am not sure if there info is acurate,that is why i am asking if any one has one that fit that creteria. please feel free to recommend A product and will see how it goes.

Hi Faroun,

Is the RPM you quote of 800, a loaded figure? What load do you intend to connect to? Is this for a battery system, or a GTI? 500W @ 800RPM is not a big PMalternator. What would be the preferred design, rotor on inside, or outside? This should be a direct drive. The specs on a commercial alternator, should relate to real numbers. In Aus, all commercial motor and generator units sold, are tested to check specifications are achievable.

If you can answer the questions, readers may be able to help.

-connect to Batterie bank.
-rotor on outside and coils on inside
-800rpm with a load on of max power of 500 watt
-the turbine blades area is arround 13.5 feet square
-sea level
-direct drive is needed
