Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Dad was up at the farm last week and got his first power "bill" since the turbine went up 60 days ago.
PVE tells us 116KW has been produced in 70 days and power bill is ZERO!!!!!
All the rest is arbitrary (payback/output/spinning not spinning etc)
the humble F&P makes enough grunt to run a fridge, microwave, cook some steaks,
read at night.
Lets just say bloody proud of that! average production now 1.5KW+ per day,
still horribly under utilising the inverter, but need to wait until everything
inspected and approved before adding another mill.

Hi Karl
What a fantastic result it just shows the potential of the wind, not to mention the F&P, now you will have to load up a couple of 100 stators and modify a couple of rotors to neo's for the next trip to the farm, that should get the utilization of the inverter up to what is expected.
All the best

Ahh indeed, but i think easier to put up a 2nd and 3rd mill.
I was out at RISE at Murdoch University today, they have a demonstration project
with 3 Westwind turbines of various sizes.
When I arrived the "little one", looked like a 5KW unit was turning and the others not turning yet.
Most Impressive were the massive towers they were mounted on, obviously very expensive pieces of kit, cant see any change from $20K for the little one.....Luck favours the well prepared
