Its a Darius type windmill, very neat. He is still working on its design, but I think its very clever. The H type darius would not be much good for a F&P as they have very little starting torque, but they have a lot of speed once running, so would work well for a servo motor or flat coreless alternator.

Looks pretty neat too!
I dont think that would be that hard to make the blades either, just form them out of some light wood, then cover then with some metal or something smooth... Who knows

Yeh I saw that one, but decided to stick with Ed's design. It's simple and has potential as far as being portable, collapsible and he's getting pretty good torque and efficiency returns.
