Can anyone tell me how to test a 3 phase turbine for a dead short?

I unfortunately managed to jam one of my connections in the tower hinge last time i raised the turbine, took 3 months to break down but I'm assume one of the windings has burnt out any ideas people?

Hi Jules

Some more details needed.

Is the turbine star or delta connected

Do you have it down, what voltage is it, is there any shorts to earth on the down phase.

Is the wiring to the turbine intact, is the restifier still working on all phases.

Are the rotator brushes intact

Have you done voltage checks have you done low ohms check.
