Seems that using imperial sized magnets (2"x1"x.5") should work fine too. The ridge between the magnets becomes thin (1.1mm), but with my 10hp rotor it was even smaller, .75mm, and that didn't pose any problems in machining either.

Anyway, below are the finished sketches for 2x1x.5" magnets. I think all critical dimensions are included.
