Its just a local school that Trev teaches at, having Christian in the title is no different to a school having Catholic, Islamic, etc. There is no religious discussion going on here. Dont worry, I would be quick to delete a religious discussion on this forum. In this case, its just the name of the school. The Industry Hub magazine is a local publication, and Trev was on the cover a few weeks ago. The school he teaches at has invested a lot into its trade training center. In Mackay we have a shortage of skilled workers, so any school teaching its kids the basics of a trade is a good idea. Locally a skilled tradesman will earn more than any doctor or lawyer.
Locally a skilled tradesman will earn more than any doctor or lawyer.
Glenn, kick the cat out of the spare room I'm moving in. ![]() Its good to see the dollars coming back into the trade sector, as we sure have to many lawyers already. Tech, studied in schools have slowly been phased out, and i think we are seeing the results filter through with a reduction in tradesman. Most of what i am able to do stems from the basics learnt in high school tech studies, and developed further in life. These include things like metalwork, woodwork, plastics, electronics, photography, i was never any good at art ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Its a pitty the kids of today dont get to do these sorts of things so much anymore, and for Trev to be helping with the teaching of these activities is a real credit to himself. ![]() Pete. Hi Trev Good to see the trade teaching re emerging from the pits, no more hairy fairy useless academic rubbish, we need trades people to support the growth in industry Australia should experience from the new wave of infrastructure development and on into sustainable energy.
