Hi guys,

Anyone knowing about Protel 99SE? How it is comparing to Eagle in terms of usability and existing libraries? It use .Net Framework (which can be a bad thing)? What it have extra?

I started to use DipTrace and is fantastic how easy and useful is. It have a pad editor in place, and what I like most is that it have a nice highlighter of traces and pads - it tells you to which one are connected only moving over the mouse pointer. It have also a script for importing Eagle schematics and boards and this is a good way to import new components. Also, is easy to select everything and move, cut and place, and this helps in "panelizing".
I mean, I appreciate if some one can talk in this way about Protel. Thank you!
