Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Friends,
Woolies WA in their latest catalogue and I bought one:
KTC (?) Telstra T100 NextG blue tick (best for bush!) mobile with $10 bonus, expires in 30 days. $100 unlocking fee first six months, $27.50 thereafter.
Cheap at half the price just for the battery. The Post Office sells this one for $49 and I am not kidding.
Had to drive to a second Woolies as the first one did not have one. Must be a loss leader and a run-out model. A friend bought a NextG Samsung for $25 at Coles.
Problems with NextG: Telstra monopoly, 35 cents or so connect fee, 40 cents for 30 secs. And when you register the phone the Telstra Phillipino call centre wants to talk you into a different prepaid capped scheme, which my or may not suit you.
Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up.
