Sorry guys but I have no choice. Without the advertising I cant afford the time and costs of keeping this site online. As it is it runs at a loss considering the hours I need to put into it, but I feel obliged to keep it going as a service to my members who have contributed their own time to the site. Trust me, there have been days when I wanted to switch it off. I have to abide by these rules. Quote... Am I responsible for user-generated content? Publishers are responsible for ensuring that the content of all pages upon which their ads appear complies with our program policies, even if the content is generated by users. While we understand that it may be challenging to monitor content which is frequently updated, to participate in AdSense and ensure that your account is in good standing, you must monitor the pages where your ad code appears. Publishers may not place AdSense code on pages with content that violates any of our content guidelines. Some examples include content that is adult, violent or advocating racial intolerance. Sites with Google ads may not include or link to: •Pornography, adult or mature content •Violent content •Content related to racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organisation •Excessive profanity •Hacking/cracking content •Gambling or casino-related content •Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia content •Sales of beer or hard alcohol •Sales of tobacco or tobacco-related products •Sales of prescription drugs •Sales of weapons or ammunition (e.g. firearms, firearm components, fighting knives, stun guns) •Sales of products that are replicas or imitations of designer or other goods •Sales or distribution of coursework or student essays •Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others ...End Quote So thats it, I need to abide by these rule to keep the site going, simple. I know some members will feel its their right to express their views on some controversal topics, but why here? Glenn. The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |
