Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

As anyone who lives on the east side of Australia would know, there's been a bit of dust around the last few days. Today is one of the worst I've seen, I knew there was a 2nd wave coming across but didn't think it would be this thick.

Sore eye's and lots of snot.

Would not dust make the air denser and therefore impart more power to your wind generators?

absolutely terrible around my place .

We could hardly see the letterbox and as for going outside ,forget that . Under the house with all windows closed ,there is a layer of dust on everything.

1976 ,, I was in a campervan in the Sahara desert near Casablanka. we woke in the morning after the dust storm raged all night to find the van 's wheels perched on little 6 inch high mounds of sand -- so that night we guess 6 inches of sand shifter to somewhere..
end of rave,,sorry

I was on my way to Darwin the day before and found this 5-600K south of coober pedy. had a quarter turn of steering lock on for 5 hours I estimate crosswind was 50knots or more. Fuel consumption went from 11l/100 to 14L/100.

I've never been to Australia. It looks like you folks drive on the left.

Am I astute or what? (Or did you flip-flop the picture when you posted it?)
