I dont know, but their product is well stocked in trade electrical outlets.
Here in Adelaide where a lot of the products are made, they were shutting a plant near the city and moving out to a industral area, and i tend to recall some dispute over moving a lot of the manufacturing over seas.
It might be more of a ploy to cut the red tape and scarper overseas to avoid the union action, even if it means a rebadge with a new name.
Lets face it, how can they compeet with the Chinese made imports.
Their tax bill alone would be worth more than the cost of the imported product with import costs included.
We have a govorment that just wants to screw buissnesses so much that they move out of the country.
They got smart and worked out that mining cant move overseas, so look at what they are doing there.
Kevin put his hand too deep in the pocket and now wants the money back.
Sorry.....little to do with clipsal......i wonder who will sponser the V8 supercars here next year????

I know nothing of Clipsals demise (it would be a shame as many of the alternatives don't last) but in support of Pete has anybody bothered to look at who in government and industry are listed as members of the Fabian society.

what is the "Fabian" society?
Clipsal may be gone ,but HPN is another well know brand ,products almost identical.
As for the tax thingo ,,,,if you hold any shares or rely on superannuation ,,best you hold on for another big dipper. Me thinks another crunch is on the way.
Now where did I put that bottle of scotch, lol.

No, this is not true.
We sell our products to clipsal, who then package them with there C-BUS system.
We would be one of the first to know if they were going out the back door.
I think clipsal have recently moved there facility to Gepps Cross from Bowden, that could account for stock shortages you mention.

Funny; as I read this, my thoughts turned immediately to the United States. Small world, eh?

If you want more of a thing then you subsidise it (batts, solar, Camry hybrids to the tune of $20,000 each), if you want less of a thing, you tax it (mines)! Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up.
