Short out your wind turbines and solar panels folks, we got a coronal mass ejection heading our way!

To quote... "On August 1, 2010, scientists at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA), using images taken from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, observed a series of four large CMEs emanating from the earth-facing hemisphere. They were expected to strike the earth's geomagnetic field sometime between August 4 and early August 5."

Well it never stopped raining here in Adelaide until mid afternoon and everything is still good here on the farm, but with the sun getting back into gear it might be time to get going and design some Faraday shields for all our RE gear.....

As all the naysayers of yesteryear did state 2012 was the final doomsday....
