G'day Guy's,
I'm wondering what the pulse is if I could get custom made multi pole curved neo magnets to retro fit F&P rotors. Also has anyone who has ripped out those curved ferrites ever accurately measured them ???. I have emailed an inquiry and as soon as I can supply a detailed drawing I can get a quote.

Cheers Bryan

Good on you Bryan ..

I've the LG magnets in a jar outside ,,if a detailed diagram asking dimensions , I can do that and even supply a sample ..

Would be a step in the right direction for those entering the LG development.

PS.. do you think this thread should be attached to the LG posting by Bob or whoever.. I'm not smart enough to do that ,,but it's your post anyhow ,thanks mate.

Bryan

I bought the magnets you seek from forum member (imsmooth) his name is Johnathon like me he lives in the states.

I used the magnets he designed and they work quite well. All though I rarely see it my single stator F&P has seen 741 watts and during a good blow will hit 550 to 600 watts.

Hi Shawn

I am finding that a cheap wind mill build works out more expensive per watt than a purpose built machine, but of course it's not as much fun.

Hi all

I am using 10x10x5 block magnets, not curved, I will take a few pictures as I go with the installation, cost was 150 dollars for the LG so not all that cheap but I hope it will give the performance I am after. I will do the LG before I do the F&P as I am happier with the LG rotor construction, the light plastic rotor is a worry with tracking and I may have to fit with steel rotors from old brake drums.

More fun when the cooler weather returns.

All the best

Bob
